Ubisoft Motion Pictures

Ubisoft have recently announced a new wing of their company that will work on taking franchises such as Assassins Creed, Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon to the silver screen and what's more in 3D.

"Ubisoft Motion Pictures has been working with the games' producers and Ubisoft's marketing team to identify the DNA of each game and come up with storylines that are consistent."

Video game to movie adaptations have not been great in the past, so it will be interesting to see what Ubisoft can do here.

"We want to keep ownership, retain control over the film content, and we're open to work with studios on the development of our projects, and eventually collaborate on the pre-casting, pre-budget and script."
